Our service fee ranges from $175 - $350 depending on the work being done. This includes a $30 initial diagnostic fee. Since our goal is to extend the life of your Mac by years, the fee is a small fraction of what a replacement Mac would cost. You might think of it like maintenance on a vehicle.

It might be necessary for you to purchase hardware for your Mac — the most common being for a hard drive upgrade. Our service fee does not include the purchase of any hardware, so that would be an additional cost. The hard drives we'll recommend typically cost around $100.

Yes, in most cases. The amount of time needed will depend on the work being done, and it is usually necessary to leave your Mac with us. We'll give you a time estimate once the issues are understood.

We do not work on iPhones, iPads, Apple Watches or any other Apple product. We only work with other Apple devices when those relate to our File Protection & Recovery service.

It is certainly possible that your files can be fully recovered. The big question is whether the issue is with the computer OR the hard drive. We will be glad to take a look and determine what can be done.

Deleted files can usually be recovered if the recovery is performed a short time after deletion. The more time you spend using your computer after the files are deleted, the greater the risk those files will not be recoverable.

We charge a flat fee of $195 to recover data from any size of hard drive.

Our data recovery service involves steps that conclude with transferring files from one hard drive to another. We do not examine the contents of the recovered data. The software we use will organize the data by file type (i.e. Image, Video, Document, etc.), and you will be able to browse and view the recovered files once recovery has been performed.

We consider all data to be private and intended only for the owner to view. For this reason we are unable to "look for" a specific file(s) in the recovered data.
